When I think of my all-time favorite books about life and friendship, the stories of A.A. Milne, top my list. I have been a fan of the wit and wisdom of that willy, nilly, silly, old bear and his friends since I first learned to read. They are such a fixture in my life that Tigger and Eeyore keep me company on my desk every day.

And as I thought about what I wanted to share about communicating love and appreciation to the people in our lives around Valentine’s Day (we’re not big Valentine’s Day romantics here), it was Winnie-the-Pooh and company who came to my rescue. For a bear of “very little brain” he is quite a wise one.
