A Garden of Seniors–Denver Senior Portraits

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job?

Of course, what’s not to love when I get to photograph beautiful young women like this pair of friends?

They chose a spot with lovely gardens for their senior portrait session but they put every blossom in the garden to shame.

Sweet Senior Year–Denver Photographer

I got to photograph another fun senior last week.  I guess we’re on Eaglecrest roll here, because she’s a member of Eaglecrest’s class of 2012.  I think high school senior portraits are my favorite.

And right now after all this wonderful rain, we have some beautiful green and colorful outdoor spots for portraits.

Outdoor Senior Portraits–Denver Senior Photographer

Summer is nearly here and that means it’s time for outdoor portraits.  Here’s our first senior of the class of 2012.  She’s an Eaglecrest senior and we had a ball at an Aurora park.

Everything is green and beatufil right now making it the perfect time to have your portraits done.

Rebecca is one of our senior Reps for 2012, so if you know her ask her about a special portrait offer she has for you.

Traveling down the road of life

It’s another senior!  And my favorite kind–the ones I get to see grow up through the lens of my camera.  I started photographing this terrific young man when he was just 10.  He was a lot shorter then.  He’s taller than I am now.  How does that keep happening?

Mom wanted a traditional portrait for him, so we started with a little studio set-up right in Mom’s living room.

After we got Mom’s portrait out of the way, we headed out into his neighborhood to see  what we could find.  He chose to have his portraits close to home because it’s his place–he grew up in this neighborhood–so did his mom, actually (even the same house), so it’s a place with a lot of meaning for him.  We had a great time.  What a great neighborhood it was.  I love the older neighborhoods that have been around for a while, with lots of mature landscaping and interesting places to photograph.

And it was so fun to see him again–nearly all grown up and getting ready to head off to college.  Cool.

Down by the River–Senior Portraits

The Bosque in New Mexico is always a great backdrop for portraits.  October was no exception.  I was surprised to find that the leaves hadn’t even started changing yet, but it certainly made for beautiful senior portraits.

This is Jesse, a New Mexico senior–I photographed his big sister when she graduated from college.  Jesse came along to be her “person” for the session.  It’s always nice to get multiple seniors from the same family–and get to watch them grow up.

Jesse was great fun and easy to photograph.  He didn’t mind at all that we dragged him all over the bosque.  We call it portrait-session-cum-nature-hike.  My favorite kind of sessions, since I think there is no better backdrop than the great outdoors.

He even made him mom happy and let us make some portraits without his glasses.  I think he’s equally handsome either way.  He also invited his little sister in for a portrait.  She’s every bit as cute as her older siblings–I can’t wait until she’s a senior, too.

We even talked Jesse into some portraits under the Alameda Bridge.  You just never know what you’re going to find when you head outdoors with us.

Beautiful Spring Portraits–Albuquerque senior Photographer

Saturday we had portrait sessions.  I’m still editing and prepping files, but I just couldn’t wait to share a few favorites from this beautiful senior.  It rained Friday night but I think that just made Saturday afternoon all that much prettier.  With the trees leafing out and the grass greening up, it is the perfect time to be outdoors making portraits.  We still have time for a few more weekday sessions before the Marvelous Moving Sale ends, so give us a call today at 505-344-3171 and set up your appointment.

I still think senior portraits are just about my favorite.  We had such fun in Old Town last week.  Yes, you can get a senior yearbook picture at school, but to have a senior portrait made that really captures your personality from a photographer who wants to make sure you have fun AND look gorgeous is a completely different experience.

And did I mention those gorgeous blue eyes and that beautiful red hair?  Yes, I confess to being a bit partial to redheads.  Must be the Irish in me.

Nothing says personality like location portraits.  We can do studio work and we enjoy it and know you will, too, but when the weather cooperates, there’s just nothing like the backdrops and settings we find around town.

KS24

We can even use those great outdoor locations to do work that can mimic the look of a studio portrait if you really want one.  Only we love outdoor light and just a little breeze for that great hair!

And we think every senior should be a personal work of art.

First Fall Senior Girl

Fall is here and so are the seniors.  The weather is absolutely perfect right now for outdoor portraits and this week was no exception.  We had great fun with this senior from Coronado High.  She brought along her big sister who we photographed a couple of years ago.  It’s always fun to see how well our seniors are doing.

I love all the colors of early fall and her bright colors really bring out that “pop”.  KM07

These little purple flowers are blooming everywhere right now and what a great contrast they make to her green top and gorgeous skin.

She loves the bright colors and they love her right back. KM53

This was a favorite outfit of hers and made her look all soft and pretty.

And can’t forget her favorite rapper.
