The Bosque in New Mexico is always a great backdrop for portraits. October was no exception. I was surprised to find that the leaves hadn’t even started changing yet, but it certainly made for beautiful senior portraits.

This is Jesse, a New Mexico senior–I photographed his big sister when she graduated from college. Jesse came along to be her “person” for the session. It’s always nice to get multiple seniors from the same family–and get to watch them grow up.

Jesse was great fun and easy to photograph. He didn’t mind at all that we dragged him all over the bosque. We call it portrait-session-cum-nature-hike. My favorite kind of sessions, since I think there is no better backdrop than the great outdoors.

He even made him mom happy and let us make some portraits without his glasses. I think he’s equally handsome either way. He also invited his little sister in for a portrait. She’s every bit as cute as her older siblings–I can’t wait until she’s a senior, too.

We even talked Jesse into some portraits under the Alameda Bridge. You just never know what you’re going to find when you head outdoors with us.
